On November 30, CHIMBUSCO Jiangsu achieved a significant milestone by successfully fueling the new methanol dual-fuel powered 1300TEU container ship “NCL VESTLAND” with 79.5 tons of methanol at Sanfu Shipbuilding in Taizhou. This successful bunkering operation represents the company’s first marine methanol fuel supply onshore.

The mobile methanol filling skid, jointly developed by CHIMBUSCO Jiangsu and COSCO (Lianyungang) Liquid Loading & Unloading Equipment Co., Ltd, was employed for this refueling task. The entire vehicle-to-ship methanol filling operation was successfully completed in 2.5 hours.

To ensure the smooth execution of this refueling task, CHIMBUSCO Jiangsu conducted numerous coordination meetings on the methanol fuel refueling process, safety assurance plans, and emergency response strategies. A detailed methanol refueling operation guide was also compiled.
