COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, COSCO SHIPPING (West Asia), and Ports Services & Storage Co., Ltd. (PSS) recently signed a joint venture agreement in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The partnership marks the launch of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ first multi-functional integrated supply chain hub of in Saudi Arabia.
Located in the prime location of Dammam’s core port zone, the hub leverages unique geographical advantages to link the trade corridors of Asia, Africa, and Europe. Upon completion of Phase II, it will span 100,000 square meters and provide multi-dimensional logistics support for the multi-purpose vessels, semi-submersible vessels, and car carriers of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers in West Asia, and innovatively establish an integrated “ship-port-yard” collaboration mechanism. The Dammam hub will not only systematically enhance operational efficiency and end-to-end supply chain delivery capabilities of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers in West Asia, but also precisely bridge the last-mile delivery gaps. By providing end-to-end, full-process, and reliable integrated logistics solutions for global customers, the company aims to achieve a value upgrade from being simply a “transport service provider” to a “supply chain partner”. In the future, the Dammam integrated supply chain hub will become a key connection point between COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ West Asian logistics hubs and its global shipping network.
